Gerald Meyers

Gerald (Jerry) Lee Meyers, 71 of Selma passed peacefully from this life into the next on Friday, June 19th, 2020. Gerald was born in Selma, California on July 25th, 1948 to Frank and Ruth (Barnett) Meyers. He was a 1966 graduate of Selma High School. Gerald also lived in Clovis where he had access to extra care and care and community. Gerald was a jolly and talkative person who always had a story to share. He loved to bowl, play bingo, dance to rock and roll and make crafts for his nieces, grand-niece and nephew. He baked a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies. Gerald took pride in the many friends he made at what he called "The Center" and enjoyed an active social life. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Genevieve Grunewald, and 4 brothers; Bob Meyers, Bud Meyers, Lee Meyers and Bill Cox. He is survived by a brother, Dwayne Meyers, and an abundance of cousins, nephews and nieces. Private services will be held on Tuesday, July 7th 2020. A memorial will be held at a later date.
