Velma Jean Quintana

Velma Jean Quintana 71 was called home to our Lord on December 22, 2022. May perpetual light shine upon her, and she rest in peace.

Velma was born November 3, 1951, in Fresno Ca., and raised in Selma Ca. She’s married to her husband of 52 years Nicholas Solis Quintana whom she shares a Love legacy which will not be forgotten.

Velma will be remembered as a loving spouse, loyal mom, giving sister, best grandmother, dedicated “Nina”, and a Bingo player at the Palace with her buddies. Most importantly, she loved and believed in 
our Savior Jesus Christ. She is admired by her family and friends as a devoted Catholic who looked forward to her daily rosary.

Velma is preceded in death by her youngest daughter Jennifer Quintana, mother Isabel Franco, her sisters: Janice, Jessie, Laura. Brother Jerry Franco, and Father John “Tino” Franco. She is survived by her sisters: Joyce, Olga, Sandra, Rosemary, and brothers Jeffery, Jimmy, Johnny. Her husband Nicholas Quintana, her daughters Nicole Quintana, and Angela Mares. Her grandsons Isiah Morfin, Cael Quintana-Munoz, Danyel Quintana-Munoz, Noah Quintana, and Erik Mares Jr. Her granddaughters Skye Quintana, Amber Quintana-Hill, Alexis Morfin, Angelica Morfin. Her great grandsons Quinn Morfin and Dakota Hill and her great granddaughter Toni Morfin.

Thank you for your kindness in remembering Velma with your prayers, donations, and compassionate words. We are grateful for the medical staff who cared for her, especially nurses Oscar, Steve, Nancy, and our lovely Dr. Yuen. Following the cemetery burial will be a reception at the Portuguese Hall. Your thoughtfulness and generosity are greatly appreciated by the entire Quintana Family.
